System Requirements: Which devices will ChessGenius run on?

ChessGenius runs on all Windows Phone 8.0, 8.1 and 10 phones. Compatible phones include all Lumia models (except the very old 7.0 devices), Samsung Ativ S, HTC Windows phone 8X/8S, Huawei Ascend W1 etc.

How much do program updates cost?

Updates are free for registered users.

How do I castle with ChessGenius?

To castle move your king two squares to the right or left. If castling is legal Chess Genius will accept the move and move your rook.
Castling is legal if the king and rook have not moved before in the game, the king is not in check and the squares that the king moves through are not attacked. For a better explanation and an excellent tutorial see www.chesscorner.com

What about Hash tables?

ChessGenius has adjustable hash tables. Bigger hash tables increase the playing strength but use more system resources.

How can I transfer a PGN database from my device to my Desktop computer?

ChessGenius allows PGN databases to be exported to OneDrive. From OneDrive the database can be transferred to desktop PC.
Save+load game->Export database to OneDrive.

How can I transfer a PGN database from my Desktop computer to my Windows phone 8?

First transfer a PGN database from your PC to your OneDrive documents folder. Then:
Save+load game->Import database from OneDrive

ChessGenius saves/loads games in PGN format. What is PGN?
