ChessGenius runs on all Android phones and tablets from 4.1 upwards.
ChessGenius is a very compact program.

How much do program updates cost?

Updates are free.

How do I castle with ChessGenius?

To castle move your king two squares to the right or left. If castling is legal ChessGenius will accept the move and move your rook.

What is the rating of ChessGenius?

It is probably around 2750 USCF.

What about Hash tables?

Hash table size can be adjusted from 128KB to 32MB. Larger hash tables increase the playing strength with longer thinking times.

How can I transfer a game from my device to my Desktop computer?

Games can be saved to PGN databases on SD card. Files on SD card can be transferred to desktop computer. The current game can be copied to clipboard. Clipboard contents can be pasted into a text file or email and exported.

How can I transfer a game or database from my Desktop computer to my phone?

Copy the PGN file containing games to the SD card on your Android device. ChessGenius can open the PGN file and read the games.

ChessGenius saves/loads games in PGN format. What is PGN?

PGN is "Portable Game Notation", a standard representation of chess game data in ASCII text files. It is used by most Chess software. For full details see: http://www.chessclub.com/help/PGN-spec. Here is a sample game:
